The Benefits
Dr. Bronner’s Organic Lip Balm is an awesome, crowd-pleasing lip balm. Because it is so inexpensive, I stash the balm all over the place. One is in my car, another in my purse, and yet another in my makeup case. It works on two levels. First, it absorbs well to heal chapped lips. Second, it provides a superficial softness and shine that make lips look good. After discovering this balm I finally found the confidence to throw out my other half-used “natural” lip balms I’d collected but couldn’t commit to.
Prior to finding the Dr. Bronner’s lip balm, I splurged on La Mer’s The Lip Balm. I told myself, If it costs that much, it must be the best. But I’ve since wised up and found that Dr. Bronner’s does an equally good job. I do apply the Dr. Bronner’s balm more frequently than I did the La Mer, but I think the massive price difference and purer ingredient list justify it. And I don’t have to worry if my toddler takes a bite of this balm–which will happen, if she gets her hands on it.
