Ursa Major, the freethinking natural beauty brand with the cool unisex ethos just came out with their first deodorant, the Hoppin’ Fresh Deodorant. This Ursa Major Deodorant offers long-lasting protection yet is free of synthetic fragrances and hormone-disrupting ingredients. I’ve had several weeks to thoroughly test this new product, and I’m thrilled to share this Ursa Major deodorant review with you!
The Ursa Major deodorant doesn’t just cover up body odor but uses powerful natural ingredients like hops and eucalyptus oil to fight odor-causing bacteria.
While switching over to natural personal care products, finding an effective deodorant is a major milestone. So many natural deodorants end up being disappointing. Locating one with truly clean ingredients that also works well is a triumph.
Why Ursa Major Deodorant Rocks
- Ursa Major Deodorant has true long-lasting odor protection. I can go all day without needing to reapply.
- The ultra-clean ingredient list is free of synthetic fragrances, hormone-disrupting preservatives or problematic aluminums.
- It goes on clear and won’t stain clothing.
- It’s an easy-to-use stick formulation.
- It has a fresh—but not overpowering—scent with notes of citrus, ginger, eucalyptus, and rosemary. It’s fabulous without being overtly masculine or feminine.

There’s something else very important to note in this ingredient list: All ingredients have been disclosed. When you find a product that stands by all its ingredients—like this one—that’s a good thing.
Finding the word fragrance on the ingredient lists of other products means the company behind the product has chosen to not disclose all ingredients. Thanks to the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act of 1966, fragrance is considered proprietary information and allowed to be hidden from consumers. So while you see that single word on the label, it may contain any number of secret ingredients.
But here’s the good news: more and more companies are choosing to disclose all ingredients in their cosmetics, thus empowering consumers like you to make a choice with your eyes wide open. Transparency matters. And that’s just another reason I love Ursa Major Deodorant.
