Green People has a unique line of products made for extra-sensitive individuals. Whether you find yourself in that sensitive category because of eczema, psoriasis, allergies, autoimmunity, or whatever, you’ll love Green People’s approach to sensitivity.
Green People is a UK brand which recently launched in the United States. I was thrilled to try out some of their natural fragrance-free products.
Green People understands that just because a product is technically natural and nontoxic doesn’t automatically mean it’ll work for extremely sensitive skin. Because of their mindful approach, this is some of the best sensitive skin care I’ve ever come across.
I’ve fallen in love with Green People’s cleanser, moisturizer, eye cream, shampoo and conditioner. Each one makes my skin and hair look their balanced best. No irritations, reactions, or redness. Hallelujah!
Sensitive Cleanser & Makeup Remover
I’ve never tried a cleanser quite like this. It’s as thick as the thickest face cream you can imagine (scroll down to the comments section and you’ll see just what I mean!). But its thickness lends itself to a luxurious cleansing experience.
The end result is skin which is thoroughly clean, happy, and free of irritation.
This Sensitive Cleanser & Makeup Remover makes my skin feel plump and hydrated, not stripped. Plus, it never leaves a residue on skin—a fact which must be stated for any creamy cleanser!
This rich formulation is made with 91.6% certified organic ingredients.
Ingredients: water, organic olive oil, organic sunflower seed oil, organic glycerin, shea butter, plant-sourced squalane, cetyl alcohol, cetearyl glucoside, cetearyl alcohol, african palm oil, glyceryl stearate, organic aloe juice powder, organic jojoba oil, organic rosemary exact, organic calendula flower extract, hydrolyzed jojoba esters, sodium stearoyl glutamate, benzyl alcohol, salicylic acid, sorbic acid.

Sensitive Anti-Aging 24-Hour Cream
The 24-Hour Anti-Aging Cream moisturizes and balances skin without causing oiliness. It was made for day and night use. Because it has a beautiful, non-greasy finish, it works well under makeup.
I typically don’t expect any cream to do much for fine lines, but little lines are absolutely diminished by this cream. It appears to be less of a “Botox” effect and more of a proper, lasting moisturization which slightly plumps skin.
Although this isn’t strictly an acne moisturizer, I find that it does well with my skin when it’s inflamed and prone to breakout. Sometimes angry skin just can’t handle one more drying or irritating product and it wants to be soothed and protected. This cream offers just that.
And unlike many facial creams developed for sensitive skin (even the natural ones!), I’ve never had a bit of stinging or burning when putting it on. It’s like a comforting hug for cranky skin.

Sensitive Anti-Aging Eye Cream
There’s two things I adore about this eye cream. Firstly, it’s packaged in a hygienic tube that’s easy to use. There’s no pumps to go awry, and no wide-mouth pot to develop into a cross-contamination hazard. Instead, Green People has utilized a simple, elegant design I’m surprised more skincare makers don’t use for eye creams. Secondly, the cream absorbs quickly into the fragile eye area, leaving the skin velvety smooth. Because eyes tend to wear more makeup than the rest of the face, a non-greasy eye cream that won’t allow makeup to slip during the day is essential. This eye cream provides an ideal pre-makeup canvas, yet it is rich enough for evening use.
Green People’s Sensitive Anti-Aging Eye Cream is made with 88% certified organic ingredients.
Ingredients: water, organic shea butter, organic sunflower seed oil, organic olive oil, organic glycerin, plant-sourced squalane, cetyl alcohol, cetearyl glucoside, cetearyl alcohol, organic african palm oil, organic jojoba oil, glyceryl stearate, caesalpinia spinosa gum, linnaeus extract, organic aloe juice powder, organic perilla seed oil, organic evening primrose seed oil, organic avocado oil, baicalin, organic rosemary leaf extract, organic helichrysum extract, organic marshmallow root extract, avocado oil unsaponifiables, propanediol, hydrolyzed jojoba esters, seaweed extract, sodium stearoyl glutamate, citric acid, benzyl alcohol, salicylic acid, sorbic acid.
Baicalin, extracted from the Baical Skullcap, helps to maintain the elastic quality found in young skin. When used around the eyes, it helps to prevent and diminish the appearance of crow’s feet.
This eye cream is also filled with other nourishing ingredients like avocado, seaweed and evening primrose. Perilla oil, in particular, is high in Omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) which is valued for its anti-aging effects on skin.
The Anti-Aging Eye Cream is $19.50 for a 0.33oz tube. Purchase it here.
Shampoo & Conditioner
When you realize that your skin is best described as “sensitive”—or reactive, or finicky, or picky, or just a jerk—switching all personal care products to ones that respect your skin’s natural proclivities is a wise choice.
In addition to a neutral scent-free shower gel and an ultra-gentle hand and body lotion, I found Green People’s Shampoo and Conditioner to be a welcome break from the abundance of natural and synthetic fragrances typically found in hair products. The experience of truly unscented shampoo and conditioner took me by surprise! I’m so used to washing my hair with products that smell like something….fruit or herbs or flowers… I had to break free from the psychological expectation that the scent somehow contributed to the shine, health and bounce of hair. Because, obviously, it does not.
Green People’s hair products left my hair soft and silky, without using parabens, phthalates, alcohol or potentially irritating foaming agents.
The Green People Neutral Scent Free Shampoo is $21. Purchase the shampoo here.
The equally fabulous Neutral Scent Free Conditioner, also $21, has the added benefit of properly conditioning strands without creating buildup. Typically, I do an apple cider vinegar rinse on my hair a couple times a week to prevent buildup-related dullness. While using Green People’s Neutral Scent Free Conditioner, my fine hair did not require any ACV rinse to keep it shiny or bouncy. The vinegar bottle remained in the kitchen.

So often I receive emails from readers who are cleaning up their cosmetics as a direct result of a health crisis they are facing. They’ve switched to cleaner beauty products, but are still seeing adverse reactions, most often in the form of some sort of inflammation. As a woman with an autoimmune condition (Hashimoto’s), I know how even the most natural and organic of ingredients can become problematic during a flare up. Certain essential oils come to mind. But I’m grateful for a company like Green People who understands that sometimes “natural” isn’t enough.
