Ellovi is a highly specialized brand that offers exactly two fabulous products: a body butter and a lip balm. Their ingredient lists are short and to-the-point, free of fillers or any ingredients that aren’t actively adding to your skin’s health and softness. Ellovi has earned the right to brag when they claim, “Ingredients so pure you can eat them.”
I was originally introduced to Ellovi through Petit Vour, my beloved vegan beauty box.
Ellovi’s Tinted Lip Butter uses a safe vegetable pigment (alkanet root) to deliver a youthful flush of color flattering to all skin tones. The Ellovi Lip Butter is $5, and is also available in Original Un-Tinted and Vanilla.
Ellovi Tinted Lip Butter ingredients: sunflower, macadamia, coconut, shea, alkanet root, and marula.

The Butter by Ellovi would probably be better described as an all-purpose skin-saving balm. Not only does it work as an all-over body butter, but also as a nighttime facial moisturizer and makeup remover. Ellovi Body Butter costs $28 for a 3.5 oz jar.
Ellovi Original Butter ingredients: macadamia, coconut, shea, hemp seed, marula and non-GMO corn starch. Also comes in Vanilla and Mint Chocolate.
Macadamia oil, present in both Ellovi products, offers a world of relief to dry, irritated, and aging skin. It is unusually rich in Palmitoleic Acid, an antioxidant plentiful in young skin which becomes depleted as we get older.
Palmitoleic Acid supports healthy cell membranes, discourages wrinkle formation, and moisturizes even stubbornly dry skin without leaving a greasy finish. Other notable nutrients in macadamia oil are the Phytosterols. When applied topically, Phytosterols reduce inflammation and itchiness. The effect is often likened to that of cortisone. For this reason, Ellovi butter is extremely soothing on sunburned skin.
Marula is another nutrient-rich oil for skin. Marula trees are hardy, drought-resistant trees indigenous to southern Africa and Madagascar. The fruit of the marula tree contains four times the Vitamin C as an orange! The high Omega 6 and Omega 9 essential fatty acid content helps to heal skin and improve elasticity. For that reason, it’s a particular favorite of those trying to erase scars and fine lines.
