The Fibrous Stonecrop Gel Mask by ilike is at the intersection of folk remedy and modern skincare. Made in Hungary, this clumpy mask calms and firms skin, while reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation and sun damage. Beneficial even for blemished skin, there’s a lot to love in this green goop.
Ingredients: water, sempervivum tectorum, glycerin, honey, benzyl alcohol, methyl hydroxyethyl cellulose, xanthan gum, sodium cocoyl glutamate, sodium salicylate, chlorophyll, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate.

Sempervivum tectorum, commonly called stonecrop, is a small succulent evergreen perennial native to the mountains in southern Europe. It has been used to treat skin disorders, eye diseases, and intestinal problems since the Roman Empire. Early accounts of stonecrop often included descriptions of mixing it with honey, as this mask has done.
The irony of combatting hyperpigmentation, whether from acne scars or melasma, is that so many products which reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation can cause breakouts, starting the whole cycle over again. I was once caught in that cycle, where the cure becomes the problem. But with the Fibrous Stonecrop Gel Mask, no such foolishness here. ilike is smart skincare.
The ilike Fibrous Stonecrop Gel Mask is $48 for a 1.7 oz bottle.
