Ursa Major’s unisex Forest Fix Deodorant smells fresh and woodsy, like a hike on a Vermont trail. It’s made with completely naturally-derived ingredients and actually works!
It has a silky-solid texture and fights body odor significantly better than most other so-called natural deodorants.
If it’s a hot day or I’m in some other sweaty situation, I think it’s best to re-apply the Forest Fix Deodorant mid-day. But for normal daily use, all it takes is a swipe in the morning to keep smelling fresh all day long.
Compare to Ursa Major’s Hoppin’ Fresh Deodorant
Ursa Major makes some of the all-around best deodorants you can find. Period.
The Hoppin’ Fresh Deodorant has been my go-to for a few years. The smell is a bit milder than the Forest Fix version, but I honestly love both. Like the Forest Fix deodorant, it utilizes hops to neutralize stinky pits.
My brother, a rescue swimmer in the Coast Guard, swiped the Forest Fix deodorant from my bathroom counter the last time he was visiting. He loved the smell and couldn’t believe that a natural deodorant actually worked so well.
Inside the Ingredients
The Forest Fix Deodorant uses powerful natural ingredients to fight body odor.
Saccharomyces ferment is a probiotic enzyme with potent odor-absorbing properties.
Kaolin clay absorbs moisture—but the formulation doesn’t feel crumbly or messy like clay at all. Keep in mind that this isn’t an antiperspirant per se, but primarily a product to combat body odor. Like other natural deodorants, it doesn’t resort to synthetic chemicals to block or inhibit your body’s natural ability to sweat. The clay adds a small amount of dryness, but nothing like what you’d expect from a drugstore antiperspirant.
And baking soda deters funky odors and neutralizes acid. Most people do just fine with baking soda in their deodorant, but if you know you’re one of the few who get irritation from it, be sure to check out Ursa Major’s No B.S. Deodorant.
Here’s the full ingredient list for the Forest Fix Deodorant: organic aloe leaf juice, propanediol, sodium stearate, tapioca starch, silica, saccharomyces ferment, kaolin clay, glyceryl caprylate, glycerin, microcrystalline cellulose, baking soda, glyceryl undecylenate, lemon peel oil, Siberian fir oil, orange peel oil, shea butter, tocopherol acetate, cellulose gum, hops extract, royal jelly extract, lemon peel extract, rosa centifolia flower extract, bergamot fruit oil, patchouli oil, leuconostoc/radish root ferment filtrate, marigold flower extract, matricaria flower extract, ginseng root extract, sandalwood oil, ginger root oil, lavandin oil.
