Nu Evolution’s makeup is made with only the cleanest, highest quality ingredients. This ain’t your hippie aunt’s natural lip color. And it ain’t your niece’s cutesy gloss.
This is some real-deal, high-performance makeup.
The Nu Evolution Lip Gloss ($28) is made with organic plant-based oils and butters and never contains any controversial ingredients like parabens or phthalates. The colors are 100% on-trend and utterly, delectably wearable.
Wear it alone, layer it over lipstick, wear it in the evenings, or when you’re doing nothing special at all. That’s the thing about these glosses—they’re the ones you’ll want to use all the time, everywhere.
So Many Shades!
This gloss is so perfect that Nu Evolution made it in 18 shades.
My Fenty Gloss Bomb Natural Dupe
Like every other female on Planet Earth, I was curious when Rihanna dropped her Fenty makeup line. And the product that immediately caught my eye was the Fenty Gloss Bomb.
So of course, I began scouring to figure out if a natural Fenty Gloss Bomb dupe existed. And….drumroll…it does.
I layer “Bling” over “Morocco” and VOILA! my own natural Gloss Bomb dupe.
Lip Luminizer: The Unexpected Gloss I can’t live without
Lip luminizer is a thing. It doesn’t mean sparkly lips—it’s something that real adult women can wear in the real world. And it’s gorgeous.
Nu Evolution’s lip gloss in “Bling” perfectly enhances and brightens lips, and can be applied over lipstick, over other lip gloss, or used on its own. It adds dimension to the lips, and catches the light just enough to draw attention (in a good way).
Even just adding a tiny dab of it to the fleshy center of my lower lip makes my lips look fuller and, frankly, more sensual.
When I first saw it in the tube, I was skeptical. It didn’t look like anything I’d normally wear. But now it’s the product I don’t know how I lived without.
Performance Makeup with Clean Ingredients
This is a dream ingredient list for a lip gloss. Pure organic perfection!
Here’s the full ingredient list: organic castor oil, organic coconut oil, organic sunflower seed, oil, jojoba oil, bis-diglyceryl polyacyladipate-2, beeswax, carnauba wax, organic cocoa butter, organic shea butter, vitamin E, oregano leaf extract, thyme extract, cinnamon bark extract, rosemary leaf extract, lavender flower extract, goldenseal root extract, lemon peel extract, and organic grapefruit seed extract. May contain titanium dioxide, a variety of iron oxides, turmeric powder, kaolin, and mica.
Extremely Safe | Reasonably Safe | Proceed with Caution | Insufficient Data |
Just look at all those organic oils and butters! Castor, coconut, sunflower, cocoa, shea…it’s everything lips love! They haven’t been added as token ingredients—they are quite literally the base and the primary substance of the lip gloss.
Here’s what’s (thankfully) lacking from the ingredient list: there are no parabens, no phthalates, no BHT, no gluten, and no propylene/butylene glycol. I love that!
There’s something very important to note in this ingredient list: All ingredients have been disclosed. When you find a product that stands by all its ingredients—like this one—that’s a good thing.
Finding the word fragrance on the ingredient lists of other products means the company behind the product has chosen to not disclose all ingredients. Thanks to the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act of 1966, fragrance is considered proprietary information and allowed to be hidden from consumers. So while you see that single word on the label, it may contain any number of secret ingredients.
But here’s the good news: more and more companies are choosing to disclose all ingredients in their cosmetics, thus empowering consumers like you to make a choice with your eyes wide open. Transparency matters. And that’s just another reason I love this product.
