I’ve been loving the heck out of the Aura Manuka Honey Mask and it’s about time I shared it with you, as it was generously shared with me. One of my dearest friends lives in Paris, and we share a fascination with beauty products. Every few months we mail our favorite products for each other to try—hair, makeup, and skin goodies. She has a skill at curating these little packages, and one of my favorite items she’s sent has been this facial mask.
My Results
From the first time I used the mask, I knew it was a winner. My skin was calmed and moisturized, with an overall plump firmness. And if I’ve got any blemishes, they disappear faster when I’m using this mask.
The Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask is suitable for most skin types, but is ideal for blemish-prone and dry skin. For dry skin, or skin with fine lines (two traits which often go hand-in-hand), the Aura Manuka Honey Mask smooths and feeds skin, making it look its best. I’ve also had great luck using it before events, to prep skin before applying makeup.

The ingredients reflect the regional POV of this New Zealand-based company. The use of pohutukawa flowers, manuka honey, and even potent local grapes takes advantage of New Zealand’s natural abundance, which women anywhere can benefit from.
Manuka honey, the namesake ingredient of this mask, is a beloved skin-perfecting ingredient. Got wrinkles? Got redness? Got dry skin? Got blemishes? Then manuka honey is for you. Manuka honey is different from typical grocery store honey in that it comes from the Manuka flower nectar gathered by bees in New Zealand. This particular manuka honey is designated with a high activity level (20+). In general, the higher the activity number, the higher quality and better nutritional content (enzymes, antioxidant levels, etc) contained within.
The Vinanza Grape® extract is an elasticity and firmness enhancing ingredient made by New Zealand Extracts. They source their grapes exclusively from wineries registered with Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand, thus utilizing the extremely high levels of antioxidants and pholyphenolic compounds found specifically in New Zealand grapes. This specialty grape extract is also anti-wrinkle, antibacterial, hydrating and healing. For those reasons, Antipodes includes Vinanza Grape® extract in a variety of their products such as their Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream and their Hosanna H20 Intensive Skin-Plumping Serum.
