Body oil can be a monumental mess, slipping through fingers and getting on clothes. Every natural beauty aficionado out there can relate to what I’m describing. Yet many purists prefer body oils over lotions because oils generally don’t need preservatives. The presence of water in a cream or lotion—which is what makes it “creamy” in the first place—necessitates some sort of preservative system. Not all preservatives are bad, of course, but skipping the water and opting for oils gives you the chance to use only the ingredients which are actively working towards skin health.

Individually, each plant-based oil and butter in Skin Solve are highly beneficial for the look and health of skin. Shea Butter is anti-inflammatory and aids in collagen production. Coconut oil is a stable, nutritious oil with the added benefit of antibacterial and antifungal properties. Sunflower Oil is quick-absorbing and prized for its ability to make skin silky-smooth. Jojoba Oil, which is actually a liquid wax and not technically an oil, closely mimics skin’s own sebum and has been used to calm acne, eczema and psoriasis. Rose Hip Oil, one of my favorite anti-aging ingredients, is full of Vitamin C, Vitamin A (as B-carotene, which contributes to rose hip oil’s vibrant red hue), Vitamin E, and essential fatty acids. Pumpkin Butter is rich in nutrients like zinc and magnesium and able to soften rough, dry skin. Any of these oils/butters on their own are incredible for topical use. But put them all together, and you’ve got one fabulous multi-tasking body product!
Skin Solve has a distinctive chocolate-orange scent, due to the organic cocoa butter and sweet orange essential oil.
