Not just for people suffering from eczema, this Organic Calendula Oil is perfect for anyone looking for a nourishing skin oil. And the ingredients are so clean, it’s certified USDA Organic.
My entire family has been loving the Organic Calendula Oil. When you’ve got a household with naturally-minded adults, active kids, and drooling babies, a safe, multi-purpose product like this one is indispensable.
Why Calendula?
Commonly known as marigold, calendula is used to calm, heal and moisturize inflamed skin.
Calendula has a long and colorful history that continues to this day. Ancient Egyptians revered its rejuvenating qualities. Some Europeans used it in the Middle Ages as part of a recipe to ward off the plague, but it’s been more commonly used in traditional folk medicine. And in South Asia, calendula has been used to color food, fabric and cosmetics.
Inside the Ingredients
This Organic Calendula Oil has a simple ingredient list with all hard-working ingredients.
Ingredients: organic extra-virgin olive oil, calendula flowers, d-alpha tocopherol & mixed tocopherol Vitamin E (GMO-free).

Beyond Eczema
Although this particular olive oil + calendula combo is especially suited to anyone struggling with eczema, the rest of us can also benefit from all that this Organic Calendula Oil has to offer.
How to Use
There’s a variety of ways to use this oil:
- on dry, cracked skin
- on itchy, inflamed skin
- on minor burns
- after being in the sun
- on the baby
- after getting waxed (ouch!)
- as tattoo care
- as a makeup remover
- as a shave treatment (note: if you haven’t tried shaving with an oil instead of a soap or foam, you’re in for a treat)
- as a massage oil
This oil isn’t great under makeup, or at least that’s my experience in this humid North Carolina climate.
How We’ve Been Using It
My whole family loves this oil.
Because the pump bottle is easy to use and won’t accidentally squirt out too much, my 6 year old daughter uses it to keep her arms and legs moisturized. She’s also constantly telling me how much she likes the smell, but it smells like olive oil to me!
I’ve been using it for total body moisturization after the shower. I’ve also used it for facial massage. Personally, olive oil isn’t my preferred leave-on facial oil, but I’ve been using it regularly on my daughters’ faces when their skin gets dry, with great glowy effect.
I’ve also been using it on my 4 month old daughter’s body. The Organic Calendula Oil is gentle and high-quality enough that I feel comfortable using it on her delicate skin.
When my oldest daughter was an infant, she suffered from eczema for many months. I would have loved to have had an oil like this when her chubby cheeks were inflamed and driving her crazy.
