Organic Shea Butter is used to great effect in Nudus lipsticks. Their creaminess has a delectable moisturizing effect. Shea Butter is regenerative and protective—exactly what lips need to be their best.
Two other botanicals in the ingredient list caught my attention, as they’re both powerfully beneficial and (surprisingly) not commonly found in makeup formulations: kiwi seed oil and coral seaweed extract.
Kiwi seed oil is a nourishing moisturizer with high levels of two “good” essential fatty acids: alpha linolenic acid and linolenic acid. Beyond the fatty acids, kiwi seed oil also contains beneficial minerals, plus lip-loving vitamin C and Vitamin E… I don’t know if you’ve ever seen a kiwi seed, but these things are tiny. The seeds are carefully harvested then cold pressed.
Coral seaweed extract is a red algae rich in oligo-elements (iron, magnesium and zinc) and is both moisturizing and remineralizing. Although antioxidants are all the rage right now, don’t discount the benefit of remineralization; ingredients with remineralizing properties are especially helpful for aging skin.
Lipstick Performance & Wear
I absolutely love the texture and wear of Nudus lipsticks. It’s the perfect balance of creamy comfort and steadfast longevity.
Although I do reapply after eating, the lipsticks wear beautifully and don’t require a lip liner to stay put.
My Shades
My shades, Halo and 27 Kisses, apply quite lighter than they look in stick form. See for yourself:
Nudus currently offers ten shades, from nude to scarlet to fuchsia. Check out their shade selections here. Or order some lipstick samples for $2.50.
