Attention women with thick hair, curly hair, and kinky hair—I have a treat for you! The Amalise Nourishing Hair Cream is a natural hair product that’s up to the task of making your hair shiny, beautiful, and manageable.
Made with organic oils and shea butter, it also has the added advantage of making hair healthier with ongoing use. It keeps hair soft, it doesn’t create buildup or flaking (which is especially important if you don’t shampoo every day), and it doesn’t make hair crunchy like some other frizz-busting products.
Performance
I had the opportunity to test this product under grueling circumstances: while my nine-year-old daughter with thick 3B curls has been enjoying summer camp in North Carolina… in the middle of a heatwave. Typically, this is the weather that leads to frizz and lackluster curls.
But since we’ve been using the Nourishing Hair Cream by Amalise, her hair still looks fabulous at 5pm. I’ve also noticed that when my daughter goes swimming, her hair isn’t getting dried out. The product—which is thick like a paste—actually stays in her hair and appears to protect her hair from the dryness that usually accompanies her time in the pool.
We’ve also had a great experience using this as edge control—it works better than other products we’ve tried that are made specifically for edge control! Using just a little bit of the Amalise Nourishing Hair Cream and a small clean toothbrush, I work this product into the baby hairs around her face and am able to give her style some added polish that lasts all day.

Shea butter is rich and especially beneficial for thick and/or unruly hair, but in its pure state, it can be a difficult texture to work into hair. That’s part of the reason I’m such a big fan of this formulation: by whipping all of these ingredients together, a thick paste is formed that can be worked into damp hair.

The Amalise Healthy Hair Pack ($37) contains two brilliant products to style and protect hair: the Moroccan Mist and the Nourishing Hair Cream. They work hand-in-hand to add beauty and manageability to thick, curly, and kinky hair.
Start by spraying hair with the Moroccan Mist, then rub some Nourishing Hair Cream between your palms and apply to hair.
Get the Amalise Healthy Hair Pack here. Although the Nourishing Hair Cream can be used on its own, a couple spritzes of the Moroccan Mist give extra slip and detangling power, making it even easier to style hair.
Or you can get the Nourishing Hair Cream on its own here.
