Green + Glam makes two lovely products that have been keeping my skin soft this summer. The combination of their Lemon Verbena Scrub and the Inspire Body Oil ensures that by the time I step out of the shower, I’m glowing from head to foot.
The Lemon Verbena Scrub utilizes the exfoliating power of sugar and the nutritional oomph of sunflower, coconut and olive oils. The citrus fragrance is bright and invigorating, making it perfect as a morning pick-me-up. Something I really like about this scrub is that it doesn’t crumble in my hands; it holds together well enough to get a really good scrub going on.
The Lemon Verbena Scrub is $26 for an 8oz tub.
Scrub ingredients: sugar, sunflower seed oil, coconut oil, olive fruit butter, hydrogenated vegetable oil, pomegranate seed extract, shea butter, lecithin, rosemary leaf extract, litsea cubeba fruit oil, verbena flower/leaf oil, lemon peel oil, ylang ylang flower oil, rosemary leaf oil, marjoram flower/leaf oil, clary sage flower/leaf oil, thyme leaf oil, vetivert root oil, dehydroacetic acid, benzyl alcohol.

Because sugar crystals have sharp edges, I wouldn’t use this scrub (or any sugar scrub) on my face. But as a physical exfoliant in a body scrub, sugar is divine. The presence of sunflower seed oil, coconut oil and olive fruit butter make for a nutritious boost, ensuring that the newly refined skin is protected.
While the scrub has a bold lemony fragrance and quickly works to reveal skin’s vibrance, the Inspire Body Oil has a light texture and mellow citrus scent.
Body Oil ingredients: rice bran oil, coconut oil, rosemary leaf extract, sunflower seed oil, pink grapefruit peel oil, yuzu peel oil, litsea cubeba fruit oil, elemi gum oil, oakmoss oil.
Rice Bran Oil works incredibly well in a body moisturizer. It spreads easily and absorbs quickly, without leaving a greasy feeling to the skin. It infuses skin with a relatively high concentration of squalane, which enhances the health and appearance of skin. Rice bran oil also contains a specific mixture of antioxidants called gamma oryzanol, which strengthen the skin’s defense against sun damage.
The Inspire Body Oil is $25 for an 8oz plastic pump bottle. It’s available in two other scents.
