Acure’s Brightening Facial Scrub is not what you’d typically expect from a scrub. It is dark green and full of ingredients that don’t just exfoliate but also “feed” the skin the nutrients it craves. And although I haven’t seen much of a brightening effect, it is gentle enough to use without throwing skin off-kilter.
Physical vs. Chemical Exfoliation
In recent years chemical exfoliants have gained popularity over their physical counterparts. Popular exfoliants range from the harsh glycolic peels at a dermatologist’s office to the natural fruit enzyme peels found on health store shelves (whose naturalness does not exclude them from being potentially damaging). But instead of merely managing the damage, why not find a better way? Gentle scrubs are back, and Acure is once again proving to be a leader in affordable and usable beauty products.

The ingredients serve a variety of purposes. French green clay and organic lemon peel granules deep-clean pores while the kelp aids in exfoliation. Meanwhile, a variety of nutritious ingredients (aloe, cocoa powder, organic chlorella growth factor, argan stem cells and oil) replenish the skin.
Who It’s For
It is suitable for most, except perhaps very sensitive or dry skin types. As with any exfoliating product, use gently and only when needed.
